I was umpiring a game and the visiting side start practising on the square during the tea interval. The home side said this was not allowed and I asked the team to desist. They did was it right to ask them to stop or was I wrong?
Also in kwik cricket. Wicketkeeper fumble ball and it goes behind him he stops it going over the boundary. Takes a pace towards the bowler and throws the ball to him, however it hit a rut diverts and rolls over the boundary (boundaries are very short in kwik cricket). Is it four or not?

In response to your first question, check Law 17.1(b). No practise on any part of the square after the start of play until the end of the day's play. Not forgetting 17.1(d) The offender shall not be allowed to bowl until 5 completed overs have been bowled by his side after the contravention. Never been conversant with the laws for Kwik cricket, but I woul guess that it would be four runs plus any completed runs.
