"bumped ball caught by fielder" , this happened many times to me. And i believe i did well in each occasion.
Folks, please share your practices of detecting bumped balls with me.
Thanks

Since we are not in a position to be able to refer such instances to a photographic replay, it is surely reliance on our eyesight which we need. Since such a decision is one for us, as officials, to make, then there can be no argument. The umpire's decision is final.

The key to this and other matters of judgement is to learn to track the ball in flight. I trained myself, and always commend this to others, to pick up the ball as soon as possible after it leaves the bowler's hand and follow it with your eyes throughout its flight towards the striker, through his efforts to play or play at it, right until it either comes to rest or goes to ground and the batsmen commence to run, or choose not to. If your eyes are focussed on the ball itself and what it does or touches you will get most of the judgement calls right.
