A new bowler comes on to ball a new over. When about to reach his delivery stride the batsman moves away from his normal stance due to a disturbance near the sight screen behind the bowler. The bowler noticing this controls himself from delivering the ball, but, while doing so, falls and sprains his foot after which he is unable to continue to play. The ball has not been delivered by the bowler. The fielding side captain now brings on a new bowler, who will not be bowling the next over, to bowl (Law 22.8).
Part 1). How will the injured bowler's over be treated now? Will he be deemed to have completed 1 over, since, he started his run up even though has not bowled a delivery? Should he be allowed to bowl all his overs (say, 4 in a T20 game) on his return?
Part 2). What would be the quota situation had the Bowler's end Umpire, not the striker, stopped the bowler from delivering the ball due to external disturbance and the bowler injures himself without having bowled a delivery?
