So Chris Kelly has finally admitted that he is not interested in the Overseas Members of ACU&S!
It was also interesting to learn that Lancashire ACO would be allowed to put forward three names for election as Regional Representatives but that some these names would be removed from the Ballot Paper by the Interim Board. Hardly democratic!

I dipped out of attending the Regional meeting when I found out that people from Bucks were expected to go to Taunton rather than the Oval! Snap!

It now seems that you could attend whichever Regional Forum was most convenient to you. We had people from Lancashire and Hampshire at the Midlands Forum.

Democracy? So we are having elections - or at least some of us are. How many people knew these were happening or the deadline for nominations? Indeed some Regions seem to have slipped through without any opposition. What are the candidates' views - especially those unopposed? We still have not seen a constitution. This is hardly the way to run a democratic members' association. Does anyone agree - or disagree - with me? Apathy rules!

Totally agree. Counties held these meeting to elect these people in virtual secrecy.

Not a single member was asked if they would like to stand in Essex? The county board decided to put forward their preferred member? Democracy? ?

There is a problem with using Internet Explorer version 8 to look at www.ecb.co.ukAt the bottom of the page there is the text Official site of the England and Wales Cricket Board followed by some white space and then the copyright info If you hover your mouse over the white space, you will find the link to ECBACO as well as the other counties etc. I have no idea why the various shields are not displayed.

Blackbeard, from reading the ACO newsletter if a member wanted to stand as a regional rep they only had to "contact your ACO County Association Representative if you wish to be considered for the role" People moan that information is not forthcoming from the ECB, but I sometimes wonder if some people read the information we do get!

I offered my services to my County Board several months ago and nothing has happened.
I have heard rumours from another County that their candidate received a letter from London asking whether he really wished to stand as a Regional Representative - in the face of which he withdrew and that Region did not have an election!

I promised myself not to answer anonymous guests who cannot be bothered to join this site, but! Not everyone has received news letters, in fact many have not even been confirmed as members even though they have paid. I myself have not received a news letter or starter pack? despite being a member since 2006? how do members read this news letter if they have not got it, or have the Internet.
