The batsmen runs 3 runs and both the umpires calls short run, how many runs will be scored ?
Can anyone give me a comprehensive answer to the question.
I shall be posting lot of such questions.

To the best of my knowledge: It depends on whether the umpires are referring to separate runs, or the same run.
If, say, the 2nd run is short at both ends, and both umpires signal, then 2 runs are awarded.
If, however, the 1st run is short at one end, and the 2nd at the other, then only one run is awarded.
This is an example of the value and necessity of conferring with your colleague.
