I would certainly recommend the Cricket Australia umpiring CD to compliment Tom Smith. It does work in other countries although the system clock needs to be changed to an Australian timezone.

Cricket Australia CD is very good. As for other books, I like Don Oslear's book ont he 2000 code, and the MCC's Open Learning Manual is the much better than Tom Smith's for law interpretation.

John
Thanks for these links - they did not work when I first tried them but it did give me enough clues to find them.
I do not know why I missed it earlier.
Acumen will try to obtain a bulk stock for resale in UK ASAP.
Regards Colin

I did contact Cricket Austrailia about 8 months ago to ask them if they were going to do a worldwide version, and apparently they are. But not sure when it will be released. As has been already said though on here (and also on the CD designer's website) you can get the CD to work on any computer, just annoying having to fiddle about to have to load it though.
Very good CD though.

I regret to say that I had an answer from Australian authorities saying that these items were restricted and could only be sold within Australia. They also are set up for Australian time zones.
I do not know whether any pressure could be brought to bear - I would have thought that their sponsors would have appreciated worldwide publicity.

Simon Taufel was here in India for a seminar and he had presented a two day seminar in Bangalore for us. He had given all the attendees a vcd and a dvd(Amazing!!! I should say)
