The South-Central Region of the ACO has initiated a CPD programme to run through the 2020 season to enable our officials to exercise their minds. If you have any ideas please contact your CSO, CEO or CDO so they can discuss them with their Regional counterpart. These include some interactive modules to test your Run Out and LBW skills. Plus a series of “Bite Size” modules that are aimed to provide you with an understanding of some basic cricket umpiring techniques you may need to develop these skills through practical experience and more structured training should you so wish. Some of these modules (and future ones) have input from ECB First Class and ICC Elite Umpires We hope the modules will: • Jog a few memories for established umpires • To give a few tips to the less experienced • Maybe give players, and especially captains, a few ideas about what they should be looking for when they come to mark an umpire’s performance as many are asked to do on a weekly basis • Provide some food for thought and hopefully some light relief for the viewer Berkshire ACO have kindly donated web space and time to keep a directory and link to the modules which you can download and run.
