Ok, there's been a lot of talk in the press and on Twitter (but nothing from MCC yet) - what's everyone's view on the 6 overthrows awarded to England?
Personally, I'd have awarded 5 runs (not 6) as the batsmen hadn't crossed at the point of the throw.

I think we are all agreed that the correct answer should have been 5 runs.
I guess the problem arose because the two umpires were distracted by the deflection and did not carefully observe the position of the running batsmen.
How often do we remember to do so? It should be on every throw!
I guess also that with the ball arriving at the crease at the same time as the batsman, you would have thought they must have crossed!
