Why umpire shall change ends after each side has had one completed innings ? Any technical reasons ? Or just has significance as per law ?

Quite simple really. Because that's what it says in the laws.

Let me ask this, other way round.
What is the intention of law maker to ask umpire to do so ?

In all honesty, I cannot see any point in asking this question, as it serves no useful purpose.

gooders : Thanks for your views. I too agree with you. But one of our domestic cricket association in India asked this question in their state panel umpire exam yesterday.... in that sense i post this question here.

I think you could be quite safe in saying that the original law was made way back, and the lawmakers at that time are all deceased now, and since it hasn't been changed, nobody knows why they made the decision to make that particular law. Not only that, but if they are asking questions like that in an umpires' examination, then you could be justified in saying that the question is pointless, and has nothing to do with an umpire's ability to officiate in a match. It is more to do with an examination on the history of cricket, and as such is nothing I bother instructing my students about.

It is necessary to make some Law about where the umpires should stand otherwise they could be exchanging ends frequently - victimising or avoiding a particular bowler?
The present law seems eminently sensible as it makes every factor as equal as possible for everyone.
If an umpire stands at one end for both first innings then it is exactly the same for both teams. For example what signposts does he use for judging Wides?
