What are the significant difference/differences between Hit the ball twice and Obstructing the field ?

The essential issue is timing. The striker can be out HT if he "wilfully" strikes the ball a second time (except to guard his wicket) "before the ball has been touched by a fielder" (Law 34.1.a). A wilful strike of the ball "after it has touched a fielder" is not out HT, but may be out OF (Law 34.2.ii).
The other key difference to remember is that only the striker can be out HT (34.1.a), but "either batsman" can be out OF (37.1).
