During a game with breaks even for drinks near the 30 over mark, what do people believe the best course of action is when the following occurs:
After first ten overs umpires and scorers agree score over by over Therafter score is updated more sporadically, every 2 / 3 overs At the 13 over mark one umpire disagree score by 6 runs! Scorer has on board higher figure. Consultation between umpires after 14 overs, and agree to go with higher total!
When should umpires stop and confirm with scorer? A natural break is a good time ie tea, fall of wicket. Needless to say there were none of these! So when to consult? and how?

How many scorers were there? If there were two, and they agree their totals, I would always accept their score. As an umpire, you have enough other things to worry about, and I assume they're being paid to score, and they are both competent, so let them do their job, and concentrate on making sure the rest of the laws are upheld. You can sort out any discrepancy before you sign the result sheet.
