The rule of free hit I have following querries
1. whether the free hit is awarded for all no balls called or only over stepping
2. If a bowler bowls a wide ball after free hit awarded, should the free hit to be carried forward

The free hit is only for foot fault no ball. Back foot and overstepping. If the free hit is not a legitimate delivery(Wide or no ball, the next legitimate delivery will be the free hit. The umpire will keep signalling free hit if the actual free hit delivery is an illegitimate delivery)

Ahh the 'free-hit' rule...what utter nonsense! Wretched One-Day gimmicks...
I didn't realise it applied to a back-foot no-ball too though, thanks.

This is exactly how it is written in the ODI playing regulations.
24.2 Free Hit after a foot-fault no ball (trial playing condition for review in May 2008) In addition to the above the delivery following a no ball called for a foot fault (Law 24.5) shall be a free hit for whichever batsman is facing it. If the delivery for the free hit is not a legitimate delivery (any kind of no ball or a wide ball) then the next delivery will become a free hit for whichever batsman is facing it. For any free hit, the striker can be dismissed only under the circumstances that apply for a no ball, even if the delivery for the free hit is called wide ball.
