For any umpires who will be in NSW in August you might like to come along to the NSWCU&SA annual convention. The Association is looking forward to Convention 2009 in the beautiful northern inland city of Tamworth.
The members of Tamworth District CUA, led by Zone Representative Sam Rees and President John Thompson, have been regular visitors to NSWCUSA Conventions for a number of years. They are true supporters of our Association. Going to Tamworth for this year’s Convention is a great way for the membership to show support for cricket umpiring in the northern inland of the state.
We look forward to seeing as many members as possible at the Convention. We have an exciting program planned for those who attend. Some of the guests who will be presenting include Cricket Australia Umpire Educator Denis Burns and Cricket Australia National Panel Umpire Ian Lock.
These gentlemen will be joined by former international rugby referee Peter Marshall, who has already been introduced to members who attended the March Ordinary Meeting of the Association. Peter will be presenting a great segment on mentoring.
The training team is working hard to prepare a varied program which we think will add value to your umpiring and scoring, at whatever level you are officiating. You don't have to be a member of our association to attend. All enquiries for non members should be directed be to Darren.Goodger@cricketnsw.com.au
