I do not normally use this board for advertising Acumen equipment but hope you will excuse this one very special offer. Latest pictures can be found on www.acumenbooks.co.uk/lever/lever.htm One enterprising ACU&S member has arranged for his local metal working company to produce a limited edition of the much prized traditional metal lever/finger counters. Acumen has arranged for extra counters to be made and these are being offered to registered members of this Message Board at a special price. Please email office[AT]acumenbooks.co.uk with the subject Lever Counters to reserve your counter - please include your username. We will email back to confirm (or otherwise) your successful application and we shall then require a cheque by return of post - which will not be cashed until delivery. You can use credit card on www.acumenbooks.com but this will be more expensive. This message will be updated when stock is exhausted but please email office[AT]AcumenBooks.co.uk to be placed on the waiting list for the next batch. This will be commissioned when we have sufficient orders.

I have just been shown a very early model of a crude lever counter.
It is claimed to eminate from 1930's.
Does anyone know anything about the history of these gadgets before 1970 when 3D Sports re-introduced them as the David Constant counter?

I am pleased to report that the improved 2011 Plastic Lever counters are now available.
Everyone who has had the faulty 2010 version should have received an email on 25oct11 and will get their replacements by 31oct11 (UK) - or soon after overseas.
A few metal ones are still available at £75 inc worldwide postage.
