No need for designing a new Tally Counter. With the regular 4 digit counter one can get overs and balls thus : At the end of each over, while moving to striker's end position, simply click the counter four times. eg. At the end of over 1, your counter would display 0006. By clicking 4 times you would get 0010, that is 1 over and 0 balls. At the end of over 2, your counter would display 0016. By clicking 4 times you would get 0020, that is 2 overs and 0 balls. And so on. I am from Mumbai, India and was shown this on my very first day of umpiring by my friend Prakash Sant, a former player turned umpire.
