ABSAT Coach Education Courses - Summer 2007 - CHESTER COURSE
I am delighted to announce, that following last year's courses, this summer sees a new batch of ABSAT courses for coaches who want to learn how to coach fast bowling properly. It's also for bowlers who want to discover the secrets for themselves. Chester is this year's first course.
Therefore could you please forward this email to any coaches and players you have access to so they can attend?
The venues this year are scattered and I have found people will travel up to 90 minutes or more to attend. This means catchment areas are wide.
This year's courses are as follows:
1. North West - Sunday 3rd June - Kings School, Chester, Cheshire, 11am-3pm
2. Scotland - Sunday 24th June - Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh, Scotland, 1.30pm-5.30pm
3. The South - Sunday 15th July - Worth School, East Grinstead, Sussex, 11am-3pm
4. The West - Sunday 22nd July - Castle School, Taunton, Somerset, 11am-3pm
5. The Midlands - Sunday 29th July - Oakham School, Oakham, Rutland, 11am-3pm
Here's what you learn on the course:
• How to help any bowler increase speed and accuracy
• What to look for in a bowling action to help avoid injury
• How to get the best out of a bowler
• Bowling drills that accelerate learning
• The benefits of advanced biomechanics without getting technical
• How to help bowlers ‘jump start’ their muscle memory and improve
• How to use gadgets, props and external support
• What works and what doesn’t
• How to coach everyone without cloning
• The advanced biomechanics ‘framework of success’
• The key indicator points (KIP’s) of the action
• How to maintain a positive coaching manner
• Implementing training protocols that practically guarantee success
…plus much, much more.
Booking details for ABSAT Coaching are on the www.maverickscricket.com website. Here, you'll also find what previous attendees have said and the difference the course has made.
Places are limited.
Best wishes
